White SPT-2 Female Sockets will snap on 18-Gauge SPT-2 Wire and feature easy break away tab for inline splice option. Our female "Vampire" sockets are the clear choice by all professional installers and will work with our 1000' bulk spools of C9 and C7 sockets. Make your own extension cords using our male and female snap-on plugs or sockets and our 1000' 18-gauge spools of SPT-2 wire. Our plugs are very easy to use -- just cut your wire, line up the wire on the plug, and slide on the plug. How easy is that!

Question: How do I install a vampire plug?

Question: Can I use these to fix a stringer I currently have?

Answer:Yes you can, but in many cases it's better to purchase a new strand as sometimes fixing the plug does not fix the stringer.

Question: What is the difference between SPT-1 (8-amp) and SPT-2 (10-amp)?

Answer: The 10-amp SPT-2 wire has more insulation allowing for higher amperage and longer runs of bulbs. This will make the cord slightly thicker.

Question: Can I use SPT-1 plugs on SPT-2 wire and vice versa?

Answer: No, because the wire thickness is different, this does not work well. We recommend ensuring your plugs, sockets, and wire are all the same; either SPT-1 or SPT-2.
