Question:Can these be custom cut to different lengths?
Answer: Yes, our LED rope light can be custom cut but only certain increments. 3 feet for our warm white, pure white, blue, green, purple, pink, and 5’ for yellow, red, and amber. If you were to cut anywhere, that is not designated to cut, you run the risk of the whole light not working. Please watch out video for how to cut and connect rope light here
Question: What is the voltage of the rope light?
Answer: Our LED rope light is 120V
Question: Can this rope light be used outside?
Answer: Our rope light can be used for both indoor/outdoor use. We do recommend, if it is being exposed to the elements, that it has some covering and that the plug is protected.
Question: Is there a lead length on the rope light?
Answer: The power cord for the rope light is 6’ long.
Question: Is the rope light dimmable? Do you sell dimmers?
Answer: Our LED rope light is dimmable, you should use a dimmer specifically for LED lights. Unfortunately, we do not sell dimmers but you can find them at local hardware stores.
Question: If I bought a spool how do I cut and splice it?
Answer: We have a very helpful “how to” video. Click here for instructions.
Question: How much flexibility does the rope light have?
Answer: It can have a flexible bend of 180 degrees. We advise not to make sharp angles with this rope light as it runs that risk of damaging the light causing it not to work.
Question:Does the power cord contain a fuse/an extra fuse?
Answer:Yes the plug has 1 working fuse and the extra fuse is taped to the cord.
Question:Are the bulbs true to color?
Answer:The light emitted from the LED is the true color .
Question:What is the warranty of the LED rope light?
Answer:Our rope light has a 2 season warranty.
Question:Do these rope lights get hot?
Answer:Our LED rope lights do not get hot to the touch. This is one of the features that make them so desirable for indoor and outdoor installation.
Question:What’s the lumens of the warm white rope light?
Answer:Around 40 is the lumen output per foot for the warm white LED rope light.
Question:Can I get exact cuts needed?
Answer:We do offer custom cuts. Our LED rope light is cuttable in intervals of 3 feet for warm white, pure white, blue, green, purple, and pink and cuttable in intervals of 5’ for yellow, red and amber.
Question:Are the LED rope lights UL Listed?
Answer:Our 150’ spool uncut is UL listed, any customized cuts will no longer be UL listed.
Question: What is the wattage per foot?
Answer: it is 0.8 watts per foot.
Question:What is the bulb life of the rope light?
Answer:The LED Rope light has 50,000 hour vertical bulbs.
